Politics, as we hear and know it, is in many ways embodied in the humble political button. It’s cheap, covered in plastic, designed to appeal to many, a less than factual, less than intellectual, catchy sound bite of propaganda that may appear plausible or inspiring but basically says… nothing. And frankly, it makes me sick. In case you haven’t guessed, that’s not what this is about.
This is not about having all the answers (we won’t always know what we believe on every issue). This is not here to tell you what to think. You don’t have to agree with us (even those of us writing probably won't all agree with each other). But it is here to make you think. It is here to allow us to learn about and offer our perspectives on political issues and current events, to share thoughts, to hear new ideas, and to bounce ideas off each other. Oh yeah, and to do what so few politicians like to do: ponder and discuss REAL ISSUES.
So welcome to an inside out kind of view of politics. We’re thrilled to have you read, question, submit writing, and especially comment. But as you browse, don’t forget about that mind blowing, world changing, but probably least used and most poorly participated in activity in the world.
It’s called thinking.
